An 18-year-old senior high school student in Tarkwa, Western Region, has successfully built a car that runs on fuel.

Despite facing numerous challenges during the process, the determined teenager named his creation ‘Never Give Up’ to symbolize his perseverance.

A video shared on YouTube, showcases the young inventor detailing the journey of constructing the car from scratch, highlighting the time and effort he invested in the project.

The footage captures Kelvin Odartey inspecting the engine before taking the driver’s seat alongside another individual, driving off onto the street with a parked police patrol car in the background.

The person recording the video can be heard interviewing the student about his motives and methods behind creating the car.

In a similar vein, in 2020, another 18-year-old named Kelvin Odartey gained social media attention for crafting a vehicle using scrap metals, which he drove to his final Basic Education Certificate Examination.

Odartey christened his car brand as “Kejelvesuims,” a fusion of his name and a reference to Jesus.

Inspired by a passing airplane, Odartey embarked on his journey of vehicle construction.

Catching the eye of Kwadwo Safo Jnr, CEO of Kantanka Group of Companies, who offered him a scholarship and mentorship to nurture his talent.
