Tragic news emerges from Nigeria as reports indicate that a 20-year-old woman named Aisha Aliyu has allegedly taken the life of her husband, Idris Ahmadu, in Nasarawa village in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.

As per reports, the incident occurred at approximately 1 am on Monday, February 12, 2024.

The couple reportedly tied the knot on December 31, 2023.

As per a source, the couple experienced a minor disagreement on Sunday evening and managed to resolve it before retiring for the night. However, their peace was disrupted at midnight when the deceased’s mother heard him screaming.

As the mother emerged with other residents, they were confronted with the sight of him lying in a pool of blood. Attempting to flee, he stumbled and tumbled at the threshold. “However, the current location of his wife remains unknown,” the source stated.

According to the source, the wife initially stabbed her husband in the chest before ultimately killing him.

Sources revealed that although the couple had been in a long-term relationship, the bride-to-be had a change of heart and decided to marry someone else before the wedding date was set.

However, all problems were successfully resolved. They embarked on their relationship during their secondary school years and have remained together ever since.

Prior to the wedding, she expressed her disinterest in continuing the relationship. However, after discussing the matter, the issue was resolved and she eventually agreed, unaware of her ulterior motives. “She mentioned having a new suitor,” he relayed.

The incident was confirmed by DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, to the publication.
