3 dead police officers were detailed for Kwahu Easter Festivities – (More details drops)

Three officers from the Formed Police Unit (FBU) have tragically lost their lives, as confirmed by authorities. These officers were assigned to provide security during the Kwahu Easter Festivities in the Eastern Region.

The deceased officers have been identified as Theresa Zampiaw, Chief Inspector Michael Adzaho also known as Akatsi Abor, and another male colleague.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Kyekyewere along the Accra – Kumasi Highway.

The Ghana Police Service has released an official statement regarding the incident, revealing that the officers were en route to carry out police operational duties.

However, the statement did not specify the exact location of their assignment.

The Police Service mentioned that further details will be disclosed following the formal notification of the bereaved families, in accordance with Ghanaian tradition and Police Service Regulations.

The loss of these officers is a tragic event, and it has undoubtedly sent shockwaves through the police force and the community at large.
