Afua Asantewaa Aims for not just one but 4 Guinness World Records

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum recently made an impressive attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual. Her remarkable effort lasted for 126 hours and 52 minutes. After completing this feat, Afua revealed that she and her team have submitted evidence of the attempt to the Guinness World Records for review and confirmation.

However, Afua has much more in mind than just this one record. She shared with the Daily Graphic that her team intends to apply for four other records. These include being recognized as the first Ghanaian and African female to perform continuously for five days, as well as achieving the longest-lasting musical event in both Ghana and Africa.

Additionally, they aim to set a record for the first musical show to feature eight DJs performing continuously for five days and to highlight Afua as the first female to attempt a singing marathon.

Afua emphasized that her current attempt already encompasses four records, despite not receiving much attention for it. However, she clarified that each record must be applied for separately.

While they have already submitted evidence for the longest singing marathon, they will now focus on submitting evidence for the other records they aim to break.
