Afua Asantewaa Pays Ghc 9,286 as Priority Review of Her Sing-A-Thon Attempt

Afua Asantewaa recently confirmed in an exclusive interview with Joy News that she has paid a sum of $750, equivalent to Ghc 9,286, for a priority review of her Guinness World Record attempt. This fee was to expedite the assessment of her impressive performance of the longest singing marathon by an individual.

Asantewaa, whose attempt ended on December 29, 2023, after a phenomenal 126 hours and 52 minutes of continuous singing, stated that she and her team were prompted to pay for the priority review due to the extended period of waiting for an official response from the Guinness World Record team.

She mentioned that the basic fee for the expedited review is $650, but there were additional hidden charges that brought the total to $750.

The Guinness World Records’ official website states that if an applicant opts for the Priority Application service, a response will be given within 5 working days compared to the standard 12-week waiting period. Asantewaa and her team are now eagerly awaiting a quick response and hopeful for a positive outcome for their record-breaking attempt.
