‘Don’t insult actors when they beg for support, film producers scammed us in the beginning ‘ – Actor Sunsum tells Ghanaians

Kumawood actor Yaw Adu, also known as Sunsum, has called on Ghanaians to show compassion towards actors who ask for public assistance.

He explained that many actors do not earn as much money from movies as people think, often due to being cheated by producers.

Sunsum shared his own experiences of being underpaid for his work, citing an instance where he shot significantly more scenes than a co-star but received a fraction of the payment.

He emphasized that actors should not be blamed for seeking financial help, as they are often unfairly treated in the industry.

Sunsum urged the public to support actors in need and refrain from criticizing them.

He emphasized the importance of understanding the challenges faced by actors and the need for empathy and support from the community.
