The 45-year-old had been married to Toukam Fotso Laure Verline for over a decade. According to reports from The Sun, the couple’s twins were born following a fling that Geremi’s wife had.

Court documents from Cameroon, Geremi’s native country, indicate that Toukam’s behavior and repeated lies had caused strain on their marriage.

The documents also mention that no children were born during their union. Toukam had initially claimed that the twins, born in June 2008, were Geremi’s, which led to their marriage.

However, the revelation that the children were from her previous partner shattered the harmony in their relationship.

Geremi also alleges verbal abuse from his wife, claiming that he was subjected to insults and derogatory language in front of their children.

Throughout his career, Geremi was known for his versatility, playing in various positions such as right back, right midfield, and defensive midfielder.

He played for top clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Newcastle United before retiring in 2011.

Geremi represented Cameroon in 118 matches from 1996 to 2010, scoring 13 goals. He was part of their successful squads in various tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
