I delivered on my promises; Mahama can’t say same – Bawumia

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is hoping to make history in the 2024 elections as the first political party in the fourth republic to have broken the eight-year cycle given to political parties in Ghana.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is urging Ghanaians to elect him as their president in the upcoming 2024 elections.

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is confident in his ability to fulfill his promises, citing his successful track record as Vice President.

He contrasts himself with his main opponent, John Dramani Mahama, who has previously served as president, and suggests that he has not delivered on his promises in the same way.

“I have never held the position of president, only vice president, but I have proven myself through my hard work and dedication.

My opponent, on the other hand, has been president before but has not fulfilled his promises,” Dr. Bawumia stated during a speech to traders in Sunyani, Bono Region.

He emphasized his successful implementation of initiatives such as the Ghana Card rollout, particularly the issuance of cards to newborns as promised.

Dr. Bawumia encouraged the traders not to heed John Dramani Mahama’s messages and highlighted the NPP’s goal of making history by breaking the eight-year cycle typically seen in Ghanaian politics.

The party aims to secure a third consecutive term in the presidency, a feat unprecedented in the fourth republic.
