“I found Jesus after my heart was broken by a guy”- Efia Odo

After going through a painful heartbreak, Ghanaian actress and model, Efia Odo, turned to religion for solace. She shared her journey of finding God on the GH Queens show, revealing that she had traveled to the United States for six months to heal.

During this time, she cried every day and listened to music to cope with her emotions. Eventually, Efia Odo realized the importance of self-love and self-worth, understanding that she couldn’t love someone else more than herself.

The breakup taught her a valuable lesson about valuing herself, and she found strength in the midst of her pain.

Efia Odo expressed her newfound confidence, stating that she wouldn’t allow herself to be hurt in the same way again.

She reflected on her past relationship with Kwesi Arthur, disclosing that they had been together in secret from 2018 to 2021.

However, their relationship ended abruptly, leaving her feeling confused and hurt by his sudden change in behavior.

Despite the challenges she faced, Efia Odo’s experience led her to a deeper understanding of herself and a renewed faith in God.

She emerged from her heartbreak stronger and more determined to prioritize her own well-being and happiness.

“I left Ghana and went to America for six months because of that heartbreak. I cried every day. I was crying and playing Gyakie’s songs. My pillow was full of tears. The breakup made me realize that you can’t love people more than you love yourself. This man made me learn self-worth and self-value. People see it when you don’t value yourself. You know the popular saying that when girls go through heartbreak, they find God? It happened to me, I found God,” she said.

“One day, I woke up and told myself that I am that b*tch. Why should I love a man way more than I love myself? I cried my last cry in August and found my strength. I told myself I wouldn’t allow this to happen to me again,” Efia Odo recalled.

“You guys didn’t know that I was in a secret relationship with Kwesi Arthur from December 2018 to December 2021. Now we don’t talk anymore, at all. He switched up fast and I kept asking myself who he is because I don’t know who he is anymore. Somebody you wake up to every day out of nowhere just switches up,” she added.
