I got sick when the internet went off – Shatta Wale

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale expressed his frustration with the recent internet outage, stating that it made him feel unwell. He emphasized the importance of the internet in today’s world, believing that living without it could have serious consequences.

Speaking to Ghana Television, Shatta Wale recounted how he discovered the internet was down and jokingly remarked, “Then today we die.” He was informed that a undersea cable had been cut, causing the disruption.

Shatta Wale speculated that the internet outage may have been intentional, suggesting that it was a test to see how people would cope without it. He expressed concern about the overreliance on the internet and the negative impact it can have on society. Shatta Wale acknowledged the positive role the internet played in his own success, but also highlighted the need for responsible internet usage.

He suggested that the government may have intentionally cut the internet to encourage people to take a break from their online activities and reflect on their behavior. Shatta Wale urged individuals to make better use of the internet and for leaders to guide and shape society towards more responsible internet usage.
