I love the African culture; one of my best friends is from Ghana – Granit Xhaka

During a recent interview, former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka shared his deep affection for Africans and their culture.

He reminisced about his upbringing, stating that he was surrounded by many African individuals, including one of his closest friends from Ghana and Togo.

Xhaka expressed admiration for the kindness and respect that is ingrained in African culture, emphasizing how these values shaped his upbringing.

After celebrating Bayer Leverkusen’s victory in the German Bundesliga, Xhaka spoke about his positive experiences playing alongside some of Africa’s top footballers.

During his time at Arsenal, he had the privilege of sharing the pitch with Thomas Partey, a talented midfielder from the Ghanaian national team.

Currently, Xhaka is teammates with Nigerian striker Victor Boniface and Nigerian winger Nathan Tella at Bayer Leverkusen.

Despite his fond memories of his Ghanaian friend, Xhaka did not disclose their name during the interview.

However, his words reflected a genuine appreciation for the friendships and experiences he has had with African individuals throughout his career.
