“I was famous before my sing-a-thon Attempt”- Afua Asantewaa

Afua Asantewaa, who attempted a Guinness World Record Sing-a-thon, has volunteered to be criticized by social media users.

Following the announcement of her disqualification, the internet sensation has been making waves on various social media platforms, appearing on multiple radio and television shows.

According to many Ghanaians, the internet sensation should take a break since she was disqualified by the Guinness World Record.

For many Ghanaians, without her singing attempt, no radio or television station would have provided Afua with the opportunity to express her views.

The internet sensation found these statements unpleasant and decided to respond to netizens.

Afua Asantewaa stated that she was already well-known before embarking on her sing-a-thon endeavor.

Afua Asantewaa asserts that she is a well-known journalist employed by a prestigious media organization.

She mentioned that while the sing-a-thon helped more people discover her, she was already famous in her own right.

She claimed to have interviewed nearly every actor, actress, musician, and top celebrity in the county prior to embarking on her sing-a-thon endeavor.

Afua Asantewaa states that individuals such as Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Vice President Bawumia were among those who supported her during her endeavor due to the rapport she had established with them.

“To begin with, the sina-a-thon was not about seeking recognition since I already had it.” Encountering celebrities is a regular occurrence for me, and those who visited the Akwaaba village during my singing marathon were familiar faces,” she mentioned.

“I’m a journalist and I’ve interviewed nearly all the actors, musicians, and celebrities who visited me at the Akwaaba Village, so it’s not as if I was meeting them for the first time,” she remarked.
