“I will not accept LGBTQ because both the Bible and the Quran speaks against it”- Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has firmly stated his stance against LGBTQ activities in Ghana.

He made it clear that if elected president, he will not allow such practices to take place, regardless of any potential consequences. Dr. Bawumia emphasized that LGBTQ activities are contrary to the core values of the nation and therefore cannot be permitted.

Highlighting the religious and cultural perspectives, Dr. Bawumia pointed out that both the Bible and the Quran, as well as the beliefs of the Ghanaian people, reject the practices associated with LGBTQ movements. During a meeting with religious leaders in Tamale, the Vice President reaffirmed his unwavering opposition to LGBTQ activities.

He assured the clergy that his stance on the issue is non-negotiable and that he would vigorously combat any attempts to legitimize or normalize such behavior if elected president.

Dr. Bawumia made it clear that LGBTQ activities will not be tolerated or accepted under his future administration.

He promised to stand firm against any efforts to promote or mainstream such activities in Ghana. The Vice President’s commitment to upholding traditional values and fighting against LGBTQ movements was reiterated during his meeting with religious leaders in Tamale.
