“I will still tw3rk because the Quran says nothing against it” – Akuapem Poloo

Akuapem Poloo, a Ghanaian actress, recently announced that she has converted to the Islamic religion. However, this change in her faith does not mean she will completely alter her lifestyle.

During an interview on Kofi TV, she was asked if she would stop twerking due to her new religious beliefs.

In response, she stated that she sees no reason to stop twerking as she is unaware of any specific prohibition against the dance in the Quran.

Akuapem Poloo argued that twerking is a common form of dance and performance, even among musicians like Wendy Shay.

She questioned whether twerking is considered a sin in any religious text, emphasizing that it is a form of expression that should not be condemned.

She also pointed out that individuals from various cultures, including Indians and Muslims, also engage in twerking.

The actress defended her choice to continue twerking by stating that it is a source of income for her, and she should not be judged for doing something that brings her financial gain.

While she acknowledged the need to maintain modesty and avoid nudity in her performances, she asserted that dancing, including twerking, should not be criticized as long as it is done tastefully.
