“I’m not proud of insulting Yvonne Nelson in my song ” – Sarkodie

Sarkodie has acknowledged that he regrets the diss track he created in response to Yvonne Nelson’s allegations.

The Ghanaian rapper recently admitted that he never intended to release the song, titled “Try Me,” which was a response to Nelson’s claims about him in her book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.’ In the song, Sarkodie used explicit language and criticized the actress.

During an interview on ‘Way Up With Angela Yee,’ Sarkodie revealed that none of his management team was aware of the song.

He explained that he secretly went to the studio to express his feelings on the beat and had no plans to release it.

He admitted that he knew his team would have stopped him if they knew about the song, so he kept it hidden. Unfortunately, the song was leaked, forcing him to release it.

After the song’s release, Sarkodie received numerous calls, but the one person he expected to scold him was his lawyer, Cynthia Quarcoo.

Sarkodie expressed regret over the song’s content and the way he handled the situation. He admitted that he was not proud of his actions and wished he had handled the situation differently.
