JB Killer’s Trial: Ursula Owusu’s Name Pops Up In Court

The Defense lawyer in the murder trial of Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, Counsel Yaw Dankwah, questioned the Investigator about the involvement of Madam Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

He pointed out that Police Investigators had not disclosed her role in the case. Witnesses had previously testified that the Minister for Communications and Digitization had driven two prosecution witnesses to the police.

Sexy Don Don, the accused, pleaded not guilty to the charges. During cross-examination, Lawyer Dankwah asked why Madam Owusu-Ekuful had not stated to the police.

The Investigator stated that he had not come across her name during his investigation. However, he acknowledged that she had been involved in taking the witnesses to the police.

Lawyer Dankwah questioned why the Investigator’s team had not invited Madam Owusu-Ekuful to give a statement. The Investigator explained that decisions were made collectively by the investigation team.

The Defense lawyer highlighted that her involvement had not been disclosed by the Investigator or his superiors.

The Investigator reiterated that her role had been mentioned during court proceedings. The case was adjourned for further proceedings on March 12, 2024.
