Jerome Opoku Proposes To Girlfriend As He Celebrates Black Stars Call Up (PHOTOS)

Shortly after receiving an invitation to join the Ghana national team, Jerome Opoku experienced a double celebration by proposing to his girlfriend.

The defender, who plays for Portuguese side Arouca, shared the news of his engagement on Instagram with photos of him getting down on one knee to ask for his partner’s hand in marriage.

Opoku, who spent the previous season on loan at Istanbul Basakşehir, earned a call-up to represent Ghana in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Before heading to the national team camp, the 25-year-old decided to make his relationship official by proposing to his girlfriend.

Opoku is not the only Black Stars player to have recently proposed to his partner, as Yaw Yeboah also got engaged to his girlfriend earlier in the month.

Yeboah, who plays for Colombus Crew, proposed to Gifty Boakye on her birthday in the presence of friends and family.

Gifty shared her excitement about the engagement on social media, describing it as a big birthday gift and a new chapter in their lives.

Both players are now looking forward to their future both on and off the field as they prepare for their upcoming international matches and wedding plans.
