Former Commissioner of Police, Kofi Boakye, celebrated his 61st birthday with a private party at his luxurious mansion in Accra.

Although his birthday is on April 5th, he chose to mark the occasion on May 1st this year.

The event was attended by prominent individuals from various sectors of Ghanaian society, including Osei Kwame Despite and Dr. Ofori Sarpong from the Despite Group of Companies, former footballer Sammy Kuffuor, and Dr. Christian Kwasi Agyeman from Taabea Company Limited.

Other guests included Minister Samuel A. Jinapor, politician Sammy Gyamfi, actor Kwaku Manu, broadcaster Dr. Randy Abbey, and members of the East Legon Executive Men’s Club.

The celebration featured performances by highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena and the Police band, with the celebrant showing off his dance moves on stage.

Known as “Commander One,” Kofi Boakye retired from the police force on his 60th birthday in 2023 and is also a lawyer.

Many Ghanaians reacted to videos of the party, with some praising his success and others expressing skepticism about his connections and wealth.

Overall, the event was described as a classy gathering of legends.
