Money NPP shared in Ejisu by-election is more than IMF loan to Ghana – Hopeson

Hopeson Adorye claimed that the NPP candidate, Kwabena Boateng, only won by bribing voters with money and gifts.

The Kwadaso MP must be arrested by the Ghana Police, he angrily insisted.

A member of Alan Kyeremanten’s Movement For Change criticized the NPP victory in the Ejisu Constituency by-election, claiming it was against the will of the constituents.

Hopeson Adorye alleged that the NPP candidate, Kwabena Boateng, could not have won without inducing the electorate with money and items. He questioned whether the NPP could buy the 2024 general elections as they did in Ejisu.

Adorye called the NPP’s tactics shameful, stating that the money spent in the by-election exceeded what the government sought from the IMF.

He criticized the NPP for not using the money to address the needs of the people of Ejisu, such as roads and classrooms.

Adorye threatened to lead a protest against the Ghana Police if they did not arrest and prosecute Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, who was caught on camera allegedly giving money to electoral officers.

He emphasized that it is a crime to influence electoral officials and called for accountability in the matter.
