Nana Yaa Brefo told the world Kyeiwaa sells banku in USA not Aisha Modi – Kwaku Manu

After nearly 5 years of speculation about veteran Ghanaian actress Rose Mensah, also known as Kyeiwaa, relocating to the USA to sell Ghanaian dishes and work in banks, actor Kwaku Manu has shed light on the situation.

In 2018, rumors circulated that Aisha Modi was behind the rumors aimed at damaging Kyeiwaa’s reputation.

However, Kwaku Manu revealed in a YouTube video that it was TV presenter Nana Yaa Brefo who first made the information public during an interview on ‘Aso Koo’.

According to Kwaku Manu, Nana Yaa Brefo questioned why Kyeiwaa would move to the US to sell Banku and Kenkey if the Ghanaian movie industry was thriving and actors were well-paid.

Kwaku Manu clarified that Aisha Modi only visited Kyeiwaa two years after the initial conversation.

Kyeiwaa herself expressed disappointment in how the story was spread without proper fact-checking by journalists.

She explained that the Ghanaian movie industry was not financially sustainable for her, leading her to seek better opportunities abroad.

Despite her successful career in Ghanaian films alongside stars like Nkansah Lil Win and Agya Koo, Kyeiwaa ultimately left for the USA due to industry struggles.
