Pastor Sues Church Member Who Demanded Return Of His Lexus SUV gift After Failed Prophecy

Dr. David Emmanuel Ovie, the Head Pastor and General Overseer of the God in Action Liberation Mission, is suing a church member for N500 million after the member demanded the return of his SUV following an alleged failed prophecy.

The church member, Temitope Monday Diamond, had given his Lexus RX330 to the church based on the pastor’s request for a sacrifice to improve his financial situation.

When things did not improve as promised, Temitope requested the return of his vehicle or the N4 million proceeds from its sale.

The pastor failed to comply, leading to a confrontation at the church that resulted in arrests.

The pastor claims that the church member and his associates came armed with weapons, including a gun, during a live service, prompting a physical altercation.

The pastor’s lawyer advised him not to answer further questions regarding the incident.

The matter is now before the court, with the pastor seeking damages of N500 million for the alleged invasion of the church and threats made against him.

The court proceedings have been adjourned to May 10 for further deliberation.
