The fake Police Man who was arrested was on guard duty at Afua Asantewaa’s sing-a-thon – More details drops

The Ghana Police Service announced on March 18, 2024, that they had arrested Hassan Avorgah for impersonating a police officer.

The suspect was caught with a police uniform and other police equipment without authorization.

Reports indicate that Avorgah was apprehended after he had falsely arrested someone and taken them to the Holy Garden Police Station.

However, he was unable to provide accurate information about his identity as a police officer, leading to his arrest. In addition to the uniform, he was found with items such as handcuffs, a taser, a pouch, and two phones.

Further investigation at his residence uncovered more police-related items. Traders at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra revealed in an interview with Kofi TV that Avorgah had worked as a security guard at Circle Mall before claiming to be a police officer.

They mentioned that his behavior, along with photos and videos of him undergoing police training, convinced them of his authenticity. The traders noted that he was often dropped off by a police patrol car at Circle, where he conducted traffic duties.

Avorgah was also involved in an event at Akwaaba Village in December, where he went by the name Kofi before converting to Islam and adopting the name Hassan.
