Top Ghanaian visual arts star, Sharon Dede Padiki makes Ghana Proud as she completes the longest painting marathon GWR attempt

After showcasing her artistic talents through a series of exquisite paintings for seven consecutive days, Sharon Dede Padi Padiki has completed her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon.


Dede Padiki started her endeavor on March 15th and concluded on March 22nd, 2024, surpassing the previous record set by Nigerian Chancellor Ahaghotu, who painted for 100 hours in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in October 2023.

With the support of the Ghana Tourism Authority, her partners, sponsors, and the media, Dede Padiki highlighted Ghana’s culture to the world during her record-breaking attempt.

After a strong start, she surpassed the previous record on Tuesday, painting continuously for over 168 hours.

Following her incredible feat, Sharon Dede Padi Padiki will now submit her works to the Guinness World Records for verification in the hopes of officially receiving the title for the longest painting marathon.

The endorsement will also secure her certificate for this remarkable achievement.
