We didn’t have money to travel to the Northern Region – Shatta Wale to Faila

Sammy Flex, the manager of reggae dancehall artist Shatta Wale, has addressed the claims made by Chef Faila following her cookathon event. Faila, who cooked for over 200 hours in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, expressed her disappointment in Shatta Wale and other big celebrities for not attending her event despite their initial pledges to do so.

Faila’s cookathon received immense support from Ghanaians and important dignitaries in the country. However, unlike Afua Asantewaa’s sing-a-thon, which saw the participation of almost every big celebrity in Ghana, Faila’s event in Tamale was largely overlooked. This led to her expressing her dissatisfaction with Shatta Wale, prompting a response from his manager.

Sammy Flex explained that Shatta Wale was exhausted after his numerous appearances in shows during the Christmas period. As a result, he was advised to take a two-week rest to recover. Additionally, the team did not have enough time to make the necessary financial arrangements for a trip to Tamale.

In essence, Sammy Flex’s response suggests that Shatta Wale’s absence at Faila’s cookathon was due to fatigue and lack of adequate financial planning. Despite this explanation, Faila’s disappointment remains, as she had hoped for more support from Shatta Wale and other prominent figures in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
